The Iranian Revolutionary Guard has warned countries in the region on Tuesday about its alliances with Israel and has stressed that the latter country “cannot defend itself”, after the Negev Forum was held in Bahrain.

“The point is that the Zionist regime cannot defend itself and it is a regime without any politics. How can some Islamic countries depend on it for their security or to safeguard their economy?”, the head of the Revolutionary Guard has asked. , Hossein Salami.

Likewise, he has alerted the countries of the region of the consequences of normalizing relations with “Zionist murderers of children” and has highlighted that the United States, Israel’s main ally, is “an enemy of Islam.”

Salami has also criticized US policies in the region and has given as an example the “harmful and irreparable effects of US interference in Afghanistan”, according to the Iranian news agency Tasnim.


The words of the head of the Revolutionary Guards have come a day after the second meeting of the Negev Forum, a permanent regional meeting to create a front against Iran in the region in which Israel, the United States, Bahrain, Egypt and the United Arab Emirates participated. (UAE).

Israel signed agreements in September 2020 to normalize its relations with the UAE and Bahrain, the first countries in the Persian Gulf to adopt such a decision, after which both Sudan and Morocco joined the ‘Abraham Agreements’. Since then, Israeli officials have said they are working with other countries in the region to normalize relations as well.
