MADRID 10 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi called this Sunday for Israel’s expulsion from the UN for its repeated attacks on the organization itself and its agencies.

Specifically, he has referred to the “hostile actions” against the legitimacy of the UN, against the UN Charter, the declaration of the organization’s Secretary General, António Guterres, as ‘persona non grata’ or the expulsion from the Agency. of the United Nations for Palestinian Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), according to the Iranian news agency Mehr.

Gharibabadi has also denounced the deaths of “hundreds” of UN agency workers and their “absolute disregard” for the rulings of the International Court of Justice.

Tehran also considers that Israel has failed to comply with the United Nations Charter with regard to Article 2, in which the signatory countries undertake to peacefully resolve international disputes, among other issues. “It is time to expel the (Israeli) regime from the United Nations,” he stressed.

The Iranian diplomat has also appealed for an arms, economic and commercial embargo on Israel and all organizations that support the occupation of Palestine.

Gharibabadi made these statements during the extraordinary summit of the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation being held in Riyadh, the Saudi capital.
