Apple has launched a new accessibility measure that is extremely important for all those users who are at risk of losing their speech capabilities.either due to problems related to the throat, or due to psychomotor problems that simply prevent them from performing the action normally.
As we read in The Verge, This functionality, called Personal Voice, would be based on a voice synthesis system that would require a reading aloud of 15 minutes of audio. Once the training is done, the iPhone will be able to copy our voice, and thanks to the integration with Live Speech, it will be able to read any text with our voice.
The feature, according to Apple, uses deep learning done entirely on the device, so there should be no security concerns associated with this, as this data should never leave the device at any time. This, however, it would be a problem in case of failure or replacement of the terminal, especially if the data cannot be synchronized in iCloud.
Be that as it may, it is an extremely powerful accessibility feature, and one that has definitely not been seen in other terminals of any brand, thus marking a before and after in terms of accessibility on smartphones.
