The Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) will hold its Fortieth Session, the Commission’s main intergovernmental conference, from 9 to 11 October 2024.
At this biennial event, which will take place in Lima, Peru, ECLAC is bringing together senior government officials from its 46 member states and 14 associate members, as well as many other stakeholders from academia, the private sector and civil society. The session will examine the progress of ECLAC’s activities and present the report on the activities of the Commission and its subsidiary bodies.
The position paper will also be presented in which ECLAC submits for consideration by governments a new proposal on how to manage the transformations necessary to overcome the development traps affecting the region.
