Intel has prepared many novelties for this 2023, starting with the launches planned at CES 2023 from the range of Intel Raptor Lake processors locked with a TDP of 65 W and the references for high-performance notebooks with up to 55 W TDP. But another surprise that he left us for this 2023 is that it seems that finally we will not have Intel Meteor Lake by the end of next yearin exchange he will offer us some Intel Raptor Lake Refresh to which he would have made enough modifications to turn them into a new series.
Nothing is known about these new Intel Raptor Lake Refreshbeyond that will replace the launch of the Intel Meteor Lake they were to be Intel's first chiplet-based processors. This may be due to the number of cores Meteor Lake is capable of offering, with a maximum of 6 high-performance and 16 high-efficiency coreswhich would be insufficient to face the new AMD with 3D V-Cache. this way intel I would leave Meteor Lake as references only for laptopsas AMD did with its Ryzen 4000 Series and the most recent 6000 Series.
It is not known if these new Intel Raptor Lake Refresh Will they have the same LGA1700 socket or will they come with the LGA1851. We also do not know that novelties may include beyond raising the base and turbo clock frequencies, as can be new PCIe 5.0 connectivity or higher core count available. We have to wait some time to find out more details, either through rumors or leaks or through official information from Intel.

This may be one of the reasons why Intel has been proudly showing off its new Meteor Lake processors and chiplet-based design. Processors that we have only seen in a laptop format, with the complete absence of desktop processors, which are usually released before the references for laptops. With this, will Intel's plans to launch a new series of processors in less than a year and with this Intel4 technology have collapsed? We'll have to wait a while longer to figure something out, but a couple of news stories from different sources citing no Meteor Lake for desktops seems enough to start to believe that we'll be running out of Intel Chiplet-based desktops, albeit less during this 2023.
