A new leak has surfaced that suggests Intel is preparing new desktop processors without E-Cores, using only the high-performance cores. P-Cores.
These CPUs will be codenamed “Bartlett” and will have, according to this information, up to 12 P-Core cores in the most powerful Core 9 variant. There will also be 10 P-Cores and 8 P-Cores models that will coexist with the Arrow Lake hybrid processors. Their TDPs will start from 45 W to 125 W, although it is strange that a model with 8 P-Cores can maintain a TDP of only 45W.
Another striking detail is that these processors would reach the LGA 1700 socketthe current platform that Intel is expected to replace with the new LGA 1851 as soon as the Arrow Lake “Core Ultra 200” CPUs arrive later this year. In addition, the Bartlett CPUs would be launched during the third quarter of 2025, which is quite a long way off.
Considering that there are several pieces of information that don’t quite fit together (late launch, LGA1700 or 45W TPD on the most basic model) we have to take this rumor or leak with a grain of salt, since there is no confirmation or official document from Intel to support this launch.
