The first desktop graphics cards have just been launched, the Intel Arc B580 and B570based on the Intel Xe2 core architecture, shortly after reaching the integrated graphics market. However, it seems that the next generation Intel Xe3 for the Intel Arc C seriescodenamed Celestial, has already finished development, at least as far as the hardware part is concerned.
What’s more, Intel’s GPU hardware development team is already focused on the next generation with Intel Xe4 cores that will presumably give life to the GPUs. Intel Arc D series codenamed “Druid”.
Although the hardware design of the Xe3 Cores, the truth is that there is still work to do, and as Intel’s Tom Peterson confirms, Now it’s the software team’s turn to get this new architecture up and running and optimize it. Therefore, it will still take us a while to see this new generation.
More architectural models are yet to arrive Battlemage (Intel Arc B Series), but it seems that the company is already clear that they will launch at least two more generations in the form of new models, regardless of the results they have in the market with the current generation.
