Intel admits that fixing DirectX 11 support on its new cards will be a perpetual job



Today we were talking about how at least one manufacturer will not make graphics cards based on Intel ARC GPUsand it is not for less, because as we can read now in pc gamerit seems that Intel also does not have any confidence that performance in games that do not use DirectX 12 or Vulkan is as expected by users.

Intel has explained that optimizing the games one by one for their correct operation in DirectX 11 and earlier will be a “labor of love” that, quite simply, will be perpetual, Well, obviously there are countless games that do not use DirectX 12 or Vulkan, in addition to not having projections to do so.

This affects most of the games produced so farbecause although there are already a good number of titles programmed with one of the two aforementioned APIs, games that are well present in the competitive scene, such as Counter Strike: Global Offensive, they will simply offer lower performance on Intel graphics cards.

For now we continue to see how these cards look worse and worse before a market that does not seem to trust the company’s GPUs, and a company that seems to have nothing but bad news for us, the end customers.
