17 Apr. (Portaltic/EP) –
instagram has announced innovations in the design of the space dedicated to Reels, where it has introduced tools to facilitate the editing of video and audio clips and which are now available on its version for iOS and Android.
Instagram Reels are short vertical videos that can be added filters, effects, and music, and that users can choose from. from the media library of the device or record it at the time they want to publish it.
The company has now announced news in the Reels, implemented in order for users to “express their creativity, connect with their audience and earn a living”, as he explained in a post on his blog.
Among the new features are the ability to find Reels that are trending, classified according to the songs or the audio that they integrate or the ‘hashtags’ that present these videos in vertical format.
You will also be able to see how many times that song has been used and the videos in which it has been inserted. Likewise, the social network will allow you to save an audio or theme to use it later.
Another notable feature is the new unified editing experience for Reels, which gather both video and audio clips and text on the screen, which allows the different resources to be introduced “in a more visual way”, according to the company.
Instagram has commented that this feature is available worldwide, both for users with devices with the iOS operating system and for Android devices.
On the other hand, the company has worked on new metrics so that content creators can better understand the performance of their publications: total viewing time and average viewing time, which can be seen from the ‘reels’ themselves, through direct access.
The social network has also introduced a notification system that alerts users of new followers who have begun to follow them after viewing their own Reels.
Finally, the platform has mentioned Instagram gifts, which allow users to virtually show their appreciation to creators through ‘reels’ and which will reach more markets soon, among which are Canada, France, Mexico, New Zealand, Australia and the United Kingdom.
In July of last year, the company announced that it intended to prioritize Reels videos instead of focusing its bet on static posts from the ‘feed’, an interest that it recognized months after having been working on the redesign of its application.
At the end of last January, on the other hand, the person in charge of Instagram, Adam Mosseri, commented that by having focused on these videos, the result had been a lower presence of photographs. It was then that he commented that he would take steps to balance the two types of posts.
