The social network Instagram has started rolling out a new feature that allows its user base to generate and share a code QR of a publication, ‘Reels’ or location.

Instagram has expanded the reach of these QR codes, which can now also be used for sharing posts, ‘reels’ and placements, not just profiles. The user is able to generate them from the menu with three points of the mobile version and on the web, in which they must add /qr to the address of what they want to share.

A spokesman for Meta Platformsparent company of Instagram, has confirmed this new function to the specialized portal TechCrunch. In addition, he has stated that the social network seeks to “make it easier for people and businesses to share specific content.”

The reverse engineering expert Alessandro Paluzzi already advanced this ability to generate and share a QR code of publications at the end of last March. In April, he confirmed that Instagram was still working on developing this feature, which It is already beginning to be available among the general public.
