The Minister of the Interior of the People’s Republic of Lugansk, Igor Kornet, was injured this Monday due to the explosion of a bomb in the Ukrainian city of Lugansk, controlled by Russia, an event that has resulted in at least one death.
Security sources quoted by the Russian newspaper ‘Izvestia’ have indicated that a total of seven people -among them three Kornet bodyguards- have been injured in the attack, without any claim of authorship for now.
Andrei Marochko, a retired senior colonel of the pro-Russian militias in Lugansk, has stressed that Kornet is in a stable situation after the event, without further details about the injuries he has suffered.
