Inflation slows; underlying inflation hits lowest level since February 2021

Within this index, the prices of goods rose by 0.18% and those of services by 0.27%.

Non-core inflation, for its part, registered a monthly fall of 0.7% and an annual rise of 8.03%, with a monthly decrease of 2.08% in agricultural prices and an increase of 0.48% in the rates authorized by the government.

Inegi presented the main generic products whose price variations stood out over general inflation:

Upward (monthly increase):

– Lemon, 18.16%
– Pineapple, 14.20%
– Grape, 9.50
– Peach, 5.13
– Potato and other tubers, 4.65%

Downward (monthly decline)

– Chayote, -61.07%
– Green beans, -20.78%
– Serrano chili, -17.44%
– Green tomato, -16.82%
– Poblano chili, -15.33%
