Inflation slows down for the fourth consecutive month, reaching 5.84% per year

Within the underlying index, the prices of goods went up 0.35% and those of services 0.29%at rate monthly.

As regards non-core inflation, at a monthly rate, the prices of agricultural products they went down 0.34% and those of energy and tariffs authorized by the government, 3.21%. This was mainly due to the adjustments in electricity rates for warm season in 11 cities of the country.

The products with the highest price increases

Among the products with the highest increase and monthly incidence, are the potato, with an increase of 13.76%, housing (0.30%), snack bars, inns, torterias and taco shops (0.56%), restaurants (0.65%), the orange (9.32%), sugar (4.23%), packaged soft drinks (0.57%), corn tortillas (0.50%), pasteurized milk (0.60%) and air transport (4.78%).

On the other hand, the products with the greatest decrease in the month were: electricity with a reduction of 21.22%, lemon (-23.98%), domestic LP gas (-2.86), chicken (-1.35%), eggs (-2.20%), packaged tourist services (-5.84%) and domestic natural gas (-6.14%).
