For some time now, the charging power of the flagships of many terminals has been exceeding the charging power of many laptops, which definitely have larger batteries and higher consumption. NeverthelessInfinix has outdone itself with Thunder Charge, a 180W fast-charging system.
The operation of this system is interesting, since the architecture makes use of two 8C lithium cells that allow each battery to only have to withstand 90W of input power. This is still quite a lot, but it falls short of what other single-cell batteries have to support in fast-charging systems above this power.
Likewise, we found a total of 111 security mechanisms between hardware and software that they will prevent situations in which the mobile phone could catch fire or overheat, something that we have seen on more than one occasion with some smartphone models, in addition to existing as an accepted risk in any device with lithium battery susceptible to damage.
This fast charging system will arrive at a flagship of the company this year, so overall we should find ourselves with a new leader on that metric soon.
