At an annual rate and with seasonally adjusted series, the indicator grew 3.1%, in real terms last December.

By sector of economic activity, construction rose 5.5%; manufacturing industries, 3.4%; the generation, transmission and distribution of electrical energy, supply of water and gas through pipelines to the final consumer, 1.9% and mining, 0.8%.

“Thus, the recovery cycle in the secondary sector extended over 34 months and although the short-term outlook is not the most encouraging, the recent behavior of some sectors allows us to be optimistic about future opportunities,” Monex pointed out.
