Indian Army kills three suspected terrorists in Kashmir operation

September 11 (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Indian Army said on Wednesday that it had neutralised three suspected terrorists in an operation launched in Kathua district, located in the province of Jammu and Kashmir, part of the Kashmir region disputed with Pakistan.

Sources close to the matter have indicated that the operation, launched just before the start of the legislative elections scheduled for September 18 in the Indian region, has not yet been completed.

Security forces, which have been assisted by the Special Operations Group (SOG) of the Indian Police, have confirmed that they have so far managed to recover the lifeless bodies of two of the “terrorists”, according to reports by the Indian television channel NDTV.

Earlier, authorities reported that a Border Security Force (BSF) soldier was injured in firing by Pakistani forces in the border area, prompting Indian forces to be on “alert.”
