In Soacha they wake up without public transport service due to blockades

The people who live in the municipality of Soacha have been affected because the public transport companies have stopped providing the service from the beginning of this Tuesday, January 31, as a form of protest against a decree of the Mayor’s Office of the municipality that came out on Friday, January 27.

According to the drivers, the reason for the protest is that the fee for the ticket payment to use the service was not increased. Thus, the price of the Soacha-Bogotá corridor remained at prices of 2,100 pesos for the journey by urban bus.

The municipal government’s decision did not sit well with drivers who, without authorization and to the disgust of users, they had increased the rate by 400 pesos to charge 2,500 per ticket.
