In search of innovation: Hotelbeds and Wayra launch TravelTech Lab

Hotelbeds and Wayra, the open innovation hub of Telefonica Movistar, have partnered to create the TravelTech Lab by Hotelbeds to reshape the future of travel.

Leading companies in their respective fields of Travel Tech and innovation will work together for the next 15 months supporting startups in Latin America to explore innovative technology-based solutions that change the way travelers move, connect and explore.

In the last year, hotelbeds has undergone a transformation, from being a bedbank to a leading company in B2B Travel Tech. His philosophy of reshaping the travel ecosystem has fueled his partnership with Wayra.

Coinciding with the global implementation of the TravelTech Lab, Hotelbeds and Wayra They have also launched their first challenge for startups in Latin America. Its objective is to receive proposals from entrepreneurs with business plans to connect the stakeholders of the global travel ecosystem and create a seamless experience for the traveler.

Startups selected to join the hub will be able to benefit from investments, including grants of up to $40,000 from Hotelbeds to bring their ideas to life, as well as expert advice and guidance, support and business development opportunities from the leaders of both companies. .
