PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA), through its Bakti BCA program, has partnered with the Indonesian National Defense Forces (TNI) to deliver humanitarian aid to victims of the Mount Lewotobi Laki-Laki eruption in East Flores, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) .
The aid was symbolically delivered at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base, Jakarta, on Thursday (12/12). The event was attended by BCA Director Antonius Widodo Mulyono, Major General Novi Helmy Prasetya, Deputy Chief of Territorial Affairs of the Indonesian National Defense Forces, BCA Executive Vice President of Corporate Communication and Social Responsibility Hera F. Haryn , and other officials.
BCA Director Antonius Widodo Mulyono stated: “The heart of BCA is with the people of Flores and its surroundings. For us, a natural disaster is not only a test of the resistance of those affected, but also a test of our solidarity as a nation. Together with the TNI, the BCA is providing support to the people of Flores Oriental in these difficult times following the eruption of Mount Lewotobi Laki-Laki. We believe this collaboration will expedite the delivery of aid to victims. We hope this small effort can inspire the community to recover and rebuild.”

The collaboration between the BCA and the TNI reflects a spirit of mutual cooperation in the effective distribution of aid. The TNI’s extensive network and command structure across the country is expected to minimize the time it takes for aid to reach those in need. The aid includes emergency tents, drinking or bottled water, rice, baby and child formulas, medicines, vitamins and other essential items, totaling IDR 500 million.
