Important event in India presents Peru’s tourism potential

The Embassy of Peru in India, in coordination with the Economic and Commercial Office (OCEX) in that city, organized the “Peru Bespoke Experiences” event at the ITC Grand Chola hotel in Chennai, a major economic and commercial center in southern India and capital of the state of Tamil Nadu.

Said event had as objective to present the immense tourist potential of Peru to the representatives of the most exclusive tour operators of Tamil Nadu, as well as to members of the local press.

During the event, a video was shown on the main tourist attractions of the Latin American country and a technical session was held by the Commercial Economic Counselor, Luis Cabello.

In addition, the attendees had the opportunity to taste Peruvian gastronomy through a dinner prepared by Peruvian chef Julio Castillo and appreciate an exhibition of 24 photographs of the main tourist places in Peru.

As a sign of the good reception of this initiative, three of Chennai’s leading magazines (India Outbound, Trade Travel Journal and Travel and Tourism Times) provided coverage of the event.
