It’s no surprise that the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 boasts beastly performance, but so is its power consumption, even having used a GPU manufactured by TSMC that reduces consumption compared to what was originally rumored, with rumors indicating a consumption of around 600W.
However, as we can see in Guru3Dit seems that NVIDIA had been working on a card with a consumption of 900W, Well, in principle, that is the capacity of the heatsink that we can see in the images. It is unknown if it is an RTX 4090Ti or an NVIDIA TITANwhich, according to the latest rumours, will not exist this generation either.
One of the peculiarities of this heatsink is that it seems to be designed in such a way that the heatsink had the fans in its upper and lower part, that is, rotated 90 degrees compared to what we are used to seeing on graphics cards. Supposedly, this design would allow for better cooling of the chip.
For a while, there were some rumors about a card, possibly the RTX 4090 Ti, that had been canceled based on electrical issues such as the inability of a single domestic electrical circuit to feed a device that had one of these cards inside, so this could be another piece of the puzzle.
