From Cain’s perspective, there is a possibility that Bethesda will get rid of certain features of the series to fallout 5. His biggest fear is that the new installment will be based only on character perks and run out of SPECIAL or have a reduced version of this iconic attribute system.
“It worries me fallout 5 directly. Yes, I see all fallout and see what they do. fallout 3 he got rid of the features, and I really like the features. I think those are wonderful things that balance character creation. Then fallout 4 got rid of skills. They disappeared,” Cain said.
For this reason, the creative does not want fallout 5 run out of more key components of SPECIAL. He thinks this will affect the overall character creation system, which would take away from the fun and challenge of the whole experience.
“I don’t know what’s going on there, but there’s certainly a tendency to eliminate choice in character creation. And I will also say that now I prefer games that offer some kind of negative features. I like the flaws, I like the weaknesses, I like the low attributes (…) I like it because it makes the characters much more fun and much more challenging to play… and much more memorable, Cain added.
For now, it seems that it is too early to talk about fallout 5 and what it will offer to the players. Despite this, it is likely that a large number of fans of the franchise agree with the developer.
