Israel and Hezbollah reached an agreement in November for a ceasefire that stipulates that both the Islamist group and Israeli troops must leave southern Lebanon in favor of the country’s regular Army, which must take positions in the area to guarantee security. from northern Israel.

However, both Hezbollah and Israeli authorities have since accused each other of violating the ceasefire. The Israeli Army, in fact, has reported several operations against Hezbollah operatives in southern Lebanon in recent months.
