Last weekend, the Overwatch League lost one of its greatest figures. Through a post on Twitter, the prestigious player Andreas “Logix” Berghmans announced his retirement and thanked all the people inside and outside the competitive scene who supported him during his career.

Logix leaves the Overwatch League and announces his retirement
“As of today, I am going to retire from the competitive game of Overwatch. I am exceptionally grateful for the people who supported me from the day I turned 18 and moved to Spain to play and for the memorable years in which I competed in the Overwatch League, up until the last World Cup,” said the player from Belgium.
In his goodbye message, Logix took the opportunity to thank all of his teammates and the staff behind the organization of the events and Blizzard Entertainment’s professional FPS league. Of course, he also expressed gratitude towards the fans who have supported him over the years.

“I recently turned 26 and I want to do more in my life to find what’s next. And it’s been hard for me to do that with the attachment [que siento] by Overwatch. I toast to new experiences and to working on myself for a better future, ”concluded Andreas Berghmans in his statement.
As the portal remembers Dot EsportsLogix was a professional player of Overwatch since the original installment’s release in 2016. He joined the Florida Mayhem team in the game’s first season of the competitive league and was part of Belgium’s official squad lineup at the first Overwatch World Cup.
Unfortunately, Belgium was unable to make the 2023 Overwatch World Cup playoffs despite triumphing over Italy on the final day of the group stage. Andreas Berghmans announced his retirement on the same day that his team was disqualified from the tournament.
As of this writing, it is unknown what direction Logix’s professional career will take.
