Players on social networks or in the same news item in which we reported the pre-sales were quick to criticize the official price set for the system in Mexico and other Latin American regions, determined by the official importer and distributor of the Latamel brand.
It is striking that it is even cheaper to buy a normal OLED Nintendo Switch from third-party sellers on Amazon Mexico, which can be obtained at $6,599 MXN; the special edition of splatoon 3 at $7599 MXN. As if the details in the console Zelda make it more valuable.

The price of the console in the United States is $359.99 USD. At the current exchange rate, that should be just over $6,500 MXN. On Amazon Japan, the special edition console was also on pre-sale, but it was much cheaper. How much? Around $4,000 MXN cheaper, since with import and shipping, the unit would reach a consumer in Mexico for only around $6,000 MXN. In other words, the price of buying the console in Japan and importing it into Mexico is equivalent to the price it should have in Mexico instead of buying it directly in the country. With the $4,000 MXN saved, it would be enough to buy the collector’s edition of the game.
