Hundreds of people took to the streets of the city of Tel Aviv this Thursday, including relatives of the hostages held by the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) in Gaza, to pressure the Israeli Government to reach an agreement in order to release those who remain kidnapped in the Palestinian enclave.
The protesters have gathered in front of the building of the Histadrut labor federation, from where they have urged its president, Arnon Bar-David, to join the pressure against the Israeli Government to release the 133 hostages who remain in the hands of Hamas in Gaza .
“There is no right, there is no left, neither religion nor secularism. We want to see everyone at home. They have not returned home yet,” said the former chief rabbi of Israel Yosrael Meir Lau during a rally, as reported by the newspaper 'Haaretz'.
In addition, several relatives of hostages have spoken, including the mother of Omer Shem-Tov, 21, who was captured during the Nova Festival, an electronic music festival attacked by the Palestinian armed group on October 7.
At least 50,000 people demonstrated on April 7 in Jerusalem in front of the Knesset, coinciding with the six-month anniversary since the attack by the Gazan Palestinian militias in a large event called by the Forum of Families of Hostages and Missing Persons.
