A growth platform
Iberdrola Energía Internacional is the Iberdrola subholding which groups its activities in Germany, France, Italy, Greece and Portugal, as well as Australia and other countries. It currently has assets greater than 10 billion euros and closed September with an EBITDA of around 450 million euros, with an increase of 48%.
The renewable capacity of Iberdrola Energía Internacional has exceeded the 4,000 MW in the third quarter of 2024 – latest data available – and its production has grown driven by a 114% increase in offshore windtechnology in which it has parks in France (Saint Brieuc, 496 MW) and Germany (Wikinger, 350 MW, Baltic Eagle, 476 MW, whose installation has just been completed, and Windanker, under construction), as well as others projects in Australia or Japan.
In onshore wind and solar, Iberdrola Energía Internacional has 1,200 MW installed in Australia, where it also has 400 MW under construction; and about 1,500 MW operational in Italy, Portugal, Greece, Poland or Hungary. Iberdrola Energía Internacional therefore concentrates markets that in recent years have represented a very significant growth for Iberdrola, Europe’s first electricity company by capitalization and one of the three largest in the world, with more than 80,000 million euros in stock market value.
