HoYoverse wants to identify major leakers of Genshin Impact
Cognosphere, a division of the Chinese company focused on the West, filed an order in a California court to request details from Twitter to identify those responsible for 3 accounts dedicated to making leaks of Genshin Impact.
Axios reports that the 3 requests were registered in February 2023, with which HoYoverse wants to obtain the names, telephone numbers, IP addresses and more information that Twitter has from these leakers that may be useful to find the identity of the people behind it. by merlin_impact, GenshInWorld and XWides.
In accordance with AxiosCognosphere also asked Twitter to delete messages from these accounts with leaked content, since they are copyright infringements, although these posts are still available.

Users did not comment on the matter, with the exception of merlin_impact, who took advantage of his Twitter account to address the concerns of some of his more than 55,000 followers and assure them that he is not in legal trouble and that he appreciates their support.

The only thing myHoYo [HoYoverse, Cognosphere] can do is delete this Twitter account. This leaker contacted Axios to criticize the secrecy that characterizes the company in terms of leaks: “I don’t know why they can’t change their strategy.”
The truth is that HoYoverse is not the only company acting this way. Most companies that suffer from leaks apply such measures.
