If we want to import a game that we already have downloaded, be it from another computer or a hard drive of the current system, we will only have to follow the next steps so that Ubisoft Connect recognizes it for us.
- Open Ubisoft Connect and sign in. We can only import the games that we have purchased in the account in which we log in.
- Go to the game that we want to import. For this we will have to go to the game library tab of our account and there select the game we want to import from the “My Games” list.
- Go into the game settings that we want and click on the option to locate files. This option appears just below the button to download the game.
- Select the folder in which we have installed the game. The next thing will be to select the folder in which we have the game files from any hard drive on our computer. It is convenient to already have located the route before getting to this step
- Wait for the program to read the files and verify them. This task may take a while depending on the speed of our hard drive and the size of the game. If the program cannot recognize the files, we can try another game location or do the process again. can also help select a folder above the one containing the game filesbut if it still does not recognize them after several attempts, we will surely have to download it again.
- (Optional) Update the game. It may be that after importing the game it is from an old version and it is necessary update it to be able to play itespecially if it is a game that is still in active development like the latest releases or Esports games.
