Globant, a digital native company focused on reinventing businesses through innovative technology solutions, announced the launch of its 5th edition of the Women that Build Awards, the annual recognition aimed at providing global visibility and networking opportunities for talented women to thrive in their Professional careers.
The tech industry, known for its innovation, faces a gender representation challenge with only 28% of its workforce being women. As a leading information technology company, Globant focuses the 5th edition on highlighting women who embrace technology and innovation, inspiring others to pursue technological careers and have positive impacts both in the industry and in the world.
This edition, supported by global partners such as AWS, CoachHub, NYSE and Udemy, was launched on International Women's Day. Featured images of Jennifer Samaniego and Jaloree Lantigua, global winners of the 4th edition of the WTB Awards, will be projected on the NYSE billboard in Times Square, New York, to continue showcasing women who are making a positive impact in the industry.
“This fifth edition of the WTB Awards not only condenses a journey begun in 2020 full of inspiring narratives, tangible opportunities and concrete results, but also, nourished by the experience of four previous editions, adapts and focuses on its emerging trends, as well as static needs and their evolution”, said Patricia Pomies, Chief Operating Officer of Globant.
“From women with outstanding leadership skills and the latest technologies to visionary and purpose-driven entrepreneurs, we seek narratives inspired by the ambition to create a fair and representative sector for those who are part of it”.

They also serve as a platform to amplify diverse perspectives, empowering women to lead and foster entrepreneurship within the sector.”.
The four previous editions accumulated more than 310,000 votes, presented more than 6,000 candidates and involved women from more than 50 countries. In addition, they received support from more than 150 support organizations and more than 240 international judges participated.

In May, after the evaluation of the nominees according to the criteria established by the award organizers, the final list with the profiles of the selected candidates will be published, marking the beginning of the voting process. The most voted will move on to the deliberation phase, in which jurors such as Jennifer Reynolds, CEO of the Women Corporate Directors Foundation, participate; Stephanie Stapleton, President of Udemy Business; and Gillian Zucker, President of Business Operations for the LA Clippers, among others. Initially, they will select the regional winners and, later, they will determine the global winners.
