Just like in the movie industry, spoilers can kill the surprise in video games. Those in charge of PlayStation thought of that for the manufacture of the current PS5 and few users know how to activate the anti spoiler system that even works with titles that have already been on the market for a while. Nothing like technology to save us from catastrophe.
To block screenshots and other “home screen” content that may contain spoilers for games you’re playing or haven’t played yet, the PS5 it has a spoiler warning option in the settings.
Let’s do an example. If you’re playing a title that came out in mid-2021, like Ratchet & Clank: Rift ApartThere’s probably a ton of content out there that could reveal some boss battles, planetary environments, or other aspects that you’d rather not know about ahead of time.
What you should do is go to Settings > Saved Data and Game/Application Settings > Spoiler Warnings. On that screen, turn on the “Warn about game spoilers” option. You can then choose to block “Only spoilers identified by game developers” or block “Everything you haven’t seen yet”.
You should consider that the function applies only to games of PS5 and not to the games ps4 compatible with previous versions. Let’s say that’s fair, because it’s been a long time since the PlayStation 4 was replaced by the new generation.
Which “The Last of Us” to buy if you like the series
There are those who found out The Last of Us because of the HBO Max series and not because of the excellent video game that originally came out for PS3. This is how many of the viewers are interested in trying the video game, but the decision of which one to buy is somewhat complicated. There are some details that you should take into account regarding the adaptation.
It happens that the first The Last of Us, the one that was released in 2013 for PlayStation 3, has two more versions that are different and each with its own characteristics. But don’t get complicated, the answer is simple but it’s always good to know a little more about the franchise on consoles.
