Choosing who can follow me on Facebook
Just because someone follows you doesn’t mean they are on your friends list. When someone follows you, they may see your posts in their feed. If you friend someone on Facebook, that person automatically starts following you. You can also allow people who are not on your friends list to follow you.
To manage this section, follow these steps: follow the first two steps of the settings above and then go to the ‘Followers and public content’ option. Select ‘Friends or Public’ next to ‘Who can follow me’.
If you have set your profile privacy settings to ‘Public’, you can see a list of followers you have who are not already on your friends list. To access this list, go to your profile, click ‘Friends’ under your cover photo, then ‘More’ > ‘Followers’. If you don’t have any followers, you won’t see this option.
If you allow people who aren’t your friends to follow you, people who send you friend requests that you ignore or delete will automatically follow you.
To see a list of profiles that follow your page:
Log in to Facebook and go to your profile. Once inside, go to the ‘Edit profile’ option.
Scroll down to the ‘Audience and visibility’ section and select ‘followers and public content’.
Once inside, go to ‘Details’ and click ‘Edit’.
There you will find the followers section, which you can enable so that they are visible on the main page of your profile.
