This is the best way to get gold in Hogwarts Legacy, for now
There are methods that work from the first hours and that are very useful to start. Now that if you already invested many hours in Hogwarts Legacy and you want to fill your pockets with more gold, there is a strategy that will be very useful for you.
Before, it is important to point out that you will need the Trincasaco, an object that allows you to capture animals. In case you don’t know, you can obtain it from the house elf Deek in the Room of Requirement by progressing in the main campaign.
Now, how to use the Trincasaco to obtain gold in Hogwarts Legacy? Too easy. The first thing you should do is look for the symbols on the map that indicate that there is a group of animals. While either works, we recommend visiting the ones near the Floo Flames to expedite the process.
The secret of this method is to capture animals to sell them later. Any type works, but there are beasts like the Mooncalf and the Puffskein that are very easy to capture; We recommend going for them, because the reward will be the same regardless of how difficult it is to catch the animal with the Trincasaco.
In case the animals do not appear in their designated area, we can speed up the time from the map menu. Once we capture them, we visit the Feather and Fur shop in Hogsmeade to sell them. Once this is done, we repeat the process multiple times.
We have tested this method and it works very well. It is possible that in the next few days the community will find new ways to get money. Now that you are just starting your journey through Hogwarts, we will soon share other ways to earn gold.
How to earn money in Hogwarts Legacy?
The first way is to make content optional. Some side quests will reward you with money for completion, so it’s a good way to earn gold while exploring the stories of Hogwarts students and the people who live around it.
Of course, it is important to note that not all the side missions of the open world video game will give us money. That is why it is very important to read the description and the rewards to know what we will face and avoid wasting time.
The second way to get money in Hogwarts Legacy It is to explore the locations that we visit in the main campaign, in the secondary missions or simply those that are in the open world. It will be very common to find bags, chests or sacks with coins inside. Enemies will also drop gold when defeated, so it’s important to survey the area after a fight ends.
Luckily, there are special chests that offer 500 gold, a not inconsiderable figure. They’re scattered around Hogwarts, Hogsmeade, and other locations, and we’ll recognize them right away because they have one eye. To open them, you need to use Disillusion to go undetected. If you don’t know how to unlock that spell, visit this page.
The third way to earn money in this Warner Bros. Games and Avalanche Software video game is to sell our equipment. In case you don’t know, during our adventure we will find scarves, gloves, glasses, hats and other clothing. In addition to making us look good, they also improve our statistics.
Luckily, we can sell the clothing items we don’t want to keep in almost any store. The money we will get will depend on the rarity of the equipment.
- Standard (gray): 30 gold.
- Well equipped (green): 60 gold.
- Magnificent (blue): 90 gold.
- Extraordinary (purple): 150 gold.
- Legendary (gold): 200 gold.
Since we will find new equipment in the main campaign, in the side missions and when exploring the open world, you may always have an item to sell.
We recommend getting rid of any items you don’t want to keep before starting a mission to avoid filling up your inventory.
But tell us, have you already put these strategies to the test? Let us read you in the comments.
