How much does the lower class earn according to the Inegi?

The income of a lower-class household, according to the latest estimates from the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (Inegi), is 11,343 pesos on average. While a high class household earns 6.87 times more per month.

Only 34% of the lower class in Mexico have at least one salaried person in the formal job market, far from 55.9% of the middle class and 63.7% of the upper class.

Where do the lower class work?

In addition, only 14 out of 100 lower-class households have a director or head of a company among their members. In contrast, 82.5% of upper-class households have at least one head or director.

Where do lower class people live?

In Mexico, at least 56.6% of households are lower class, on average. But the five states where there are more homes in this condition are Chiapas, Guerrero, Oaxaca, Puebla, Tlaxcala and Durango.

On the contrary, the entities where there is a lower proportion of lower class households are CDMX, Colima, Jalisco, Baja California and Sonora.
