Honor integrates AI functions into its 200 series

Starting with the camera, the function of removing objects from photographs will be enabled. Image processing is based on references in the Google cloud to “achieve accurate results,” according to the brand. It is worth mentioning that the tool will require an internet connection.

The devices will also have a selective portrait mode that will allow you to focus on the subject or background in the photo.

The Chinese company added that the 200 series will be compatible with sharing these types of images and continuing editing as if the source device were found.

Finally, it will add a real-time translation tool that will currently be available in 10 languages.

For now, these updates are only proposed for the 200 series, but the brand noted that they anticipate it will eventually be applied to other mid-range and even entry-level equipment.

Honor started as an affordable cell phone brand in Mexico, but in the last four years its strategy has been inclined to venture into the high-end, as mentioned by the company.

“We have built a new path where the strategy focused on leaving that past where we were a brand recognized for entry-level, mid-range and perhaps more youthful products. Now we are aiming for higher ranges,” said David Moheno, regional director of communications and PR for Honor.

According to the consulting firm The Ciu, the Smartphone is the main access device to the digital ecosystem of Mexicans, which makes it a market of transversal importance.

The smartphone market in Mexico is worth more than 125,000 million pesos per year.

Te Ciu points out that 16.8% of the market is distributed among various brands such as OPPO, Vivo, Alcatel, ZTE, Honor, among others.
