Hezbollah condemns Israeli attack on Iran and warns of "dangerous escalation"

MADRID 26 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Lebanese Shiite militia party Hezbollah has condemned last night’s attack by Israel on Iran, which represents “a dangerous escalation” for the Lebanese group.

“Hezbollah strongly condemns the treacherous Zionist aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran and considers that it represents a dangerous escalation at the regional level and reflects the aggressive nature of the occupying entity that perpetrates massacres and causes tragedies and destruction,” Hezbollah said in a statement. by the official Lebanese news agency, NNA.

The group has also denounced the “explicit and full support of the United States of America, which bears total responsibility for the massacres, tragedies and pain,” he noted.

Hezbollah thus criticizes the “flagrant attack against Iran’s national sovereignty”, although it has stressed that “it will never affect its firm and clear stance and its total support at various levels for the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples.”

“We highlight the success of the Iranian Armed Forces, with all its sections and units, their successful confrontation with this treacherous attack,” he added before expressing his condolences for the two deceased and “asking Allah for a quick recovery for the wounded.”

At least two Iranian soldiers have died in the air attack carried out this past morning by the Israeli Army against these positions; a bombing that Israel has framed as a response to Iranian air attacks launched against the country, the last of which occurred on October 1.

The attack has been confirmed by the Iranian Air Force, which has reported “attacks against parts of military centers” in three provinces of the country: Tehran, Khuzestan and Ilam, the latter two in the southeast. The Iranian Army assures that air defenses have managed to “successfully repel” the attack although “there is limited damage in some places.”
