ROME Oct. 26 (DPA/EP) –
Heavy rain has again caused serious damage in northern Italy and several regions, including Tuscany, have been affected by flooding.
Roads and houses have been submerged in water after days of downpours, and rivers and canals have overflowed.
Emergency services had to rescue more than a dozen drivers who were trapped overnight on the roofs of their vehicles near Pisa.
Authorities in Piedmont, Liguria and Emilia-Romagna warned residents to be especially careful over the weekend.
In the Turin metropolitan area, authorities advised people to stay home and avoid traveling by car and hiking.
