One of the most important personalities within Nintendo is undoubtedly Eiji Aonuma, who with his incredible talent has repeatedly surprised fans with his work on Legend of Zelda. It is because of this that today we want to congratulate him on his 60th birthday.
If you don’t know much about Aonuma-san, let us tell you that he was born on this day in 1963 in Nagoya, Japan. The Japanese graduated from the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music in 1988 with a degree in design, at which point he joined the Nintendo staff thanks to a series of articulated puppets that he presented to the company’s board.
Once with a position in the house of Mario Bros.Aonuma received his first big break in 1996, when he helped as a graphic designer in the development of Marvelous: Another Treasure Islanda game that was only released in Japan.

Shortly after he participated in other projects for Nintendo 64 as a progress director and supervisor on Golden Eye 007 and Blast Corps. However, his career changed when he was able to work alongside Shigeru Miyamoto as director of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
Since then, Aonuma is the producer and head of the franchise starring Link, which has allowed him to also be part of other games such as The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wildamong others.
