Han Zheng pays an official visit to Singapore

Vice Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China, Han Zheng pays an official visit to Singapore from November 1 to 2, 2022, at the invitation of the Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) and Coordinating Minister for Economic Policy, Heng Swee Keat.

The Singaporean diplomat and the Chinese Vice Premier co-chaired the meetings of the 18th Joint Bilateral Cooperation Council (JCBC), the 23rd Joint Management Council (JSC) of Suzhou Industrial Park, the 14th JSC of Tianjin Green City and the 6th JSC of the China-Singapore Strategic Connectivity Demonstration Initiative (CCI) on November 1, 2022.

ASEAN and China talk about closer economic relations

The JCBC is the largest bilateral platform convened annually to review the substantive collaboration between Singapore and China, and chart a new direction for cooperation between the two countries.

The JSC is tasked with taking stock of the progress made on the three Government-to-Government flagship projects and discussing ways to further improve their development.

In addition to the JCBC and JSC meetings, Heng Swee Keat held a bilateral meeting with Vice Premier Han and hosted a welcome dinner on November 1.

During his visit, Han Zheng will also visit President Halimah Yacob and Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, and separately meet Finance Minister Lawrence Wong and Chief Minister and National Security Coordinator Teo Chee Hean.
