Hamas rejects Blinken's criticism and affirms that it will be "legally persecuted" for its support of "genocide"

MADRID Jan. 7 (EUROPA PRESS) –

The spokesman and leader of Hamas, Osama Hamdan, assured this Tuesday that the Secretary of State of the United States, Antony Blinken, is a Palestinian “partner of genocide” and as such “his crimes” will be legally prosecuted.

Hamdan has referred to these terms in response to Blinken’s statements a few days ago, in which he blamed Hamas for the failure of the negotiations. “His statements are misleading,” he concluded at a press conference in Algeria, reported by the Palestinian news portal Donia al Watan.

“We will not consider any serious statement about the agreement before we see it ready and signed,” Hamdan stated, also ensuring that the experience of all these months of negotiating with Israel has shown that the only way to achieve the rights of the Palestinians is through confrontation.

“We are determined to stop the aggression and for the enemy to withdraw from the Gaza Strip,” said Hamdan, who noted that international aid and reconstruction work must arrive “without Israeli conditions.”

In that sense, he has defended the creation of a “national committee” for the management of Gaza made up of “elites” recognized for “their patriotism and integrity”, appealing to “unity” before the Palestinians elect their rulers.

A few days ago, the Israeli Government and Hamas once again sent their representatives to Doha, Qatar, to try to reach an agreement.
