MADRID 11 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The spokesman and member of the political bureau of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), Osama Hamdan, regretted this Sunday that the Arab countries, which will meet this Monday in the capital of Saudi Arabia within the framework of the second Arab emergency summit, Islam, have failed to “pressure” Israel to achieve a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, where the Israeli Army has killed more than 43,000 people in a year of continuous bombings.
Thus, Hamdan has asked the Arab-Islamic alliance for an “escalation” of forms of solidarity in favor of the Palestinian people and the “rejection” of the Israeli authorities through “massive” demonstrations, highlighting “the position of Spain in time to prevent the docking of ships carrying weapons for Israel.
However, he has emphasized that Israel is the one that “prevents reaching any agreement under American cover and the support of some European countries, which is why he has stated that “the massacres committed against the Palestinian people are a shame for those who committed them. support and those who remain silent.
In this sense, he stated that “the hunger policy implemented by the occupation”, which is “unprecedented”, is “despicable”, and adds to the “murders and displacements that have continued for more than a year”. All of this “reflects the most horrible forms of aggression,” he added.
These statements come after Qatar announced the day before that it is “paralyzing” its mediation efforts between Israel and Hamas on the conflict in Gaza due to the lack of progress, stressing that it will resume its efforts “when the parties demonstrate their will and seriousness to end the brutal war and the ongoing civilian suffering caused by the catastrophic humanitarian conditions in the Strip.”
