During the Halo Championships 2024343 Industries confirmed that, after many requests, it will be adding a third-person mode to the franchise. This novelty will reach Halo Infinite before the year ends. To be exact, will be released sometime in November.

For now, we know that the mode will not allow changing the perspective from first to third person during games. It will be an option for firefight which will make all players use third person mode. Likewise, players will be able to enjoy it in their creations in the mode forge.

“It’s a fun way to play, you have more awareness. You can see your Spartan. It’s great. People have loved it and I can’t wait for everyone to be able to get their hands on it later this year,” said John Junyszek, administrator from the 343i community.

The company shared a video showing a development version of the feature. Part of the community was excited about this new way of playing, while some fans criticized it because they believe it makes the game look like Fortnite.
