Habbo Hotel is back with a version that recovers the game as it was in 2005 and which introduces a community experience-based approach to the development of this social simulation experience.
From this Tuesday, June 18, it is possible to play Habbo Hotel as it was in 2005, after earlier this year the Sulake development team and engineer and gamer Macklebee found an old server with files from the original title.
After six months of workThey have launched Habbo Hotel Originswhich can be accessed from the website and where there are three hotels, one for each language: English, Portuguese and Spanish. The experience is limited to those over 18 years of age.
From SulakeHowever, they report that this version of Habbo has been released with a community based approach. “The InfoBus Park at Habbo Hotel Origins is becoming a kind of democratic forum where we will pose important questions about the development and direction of Habbo,” which players will be able to vote on and the outcome of which will be binding.
Habbo Hotel appeared in the year 2000 led by its creator, the Finnish Sampo Karjalainen, to arrive three years later in Spain and progressively spread to more than 150 countries around the world.
This game is understood as a metaverse in two dimensionsin which players interacted with each other via chat in different communities or hotels, showing themselves with personalized avatars.
