The Secretary General of the UN, António Guterres, asked this Tuesday the political actors of the semi-autonomous region of Iraqi Kurdistan to form an “inclusive government as soon as possible”, waiting to know the final results in the face of a comfortable victory for the ruler. The elections have been held after six years of delays. The region has held six legislative votes since its de facto independence from Iraq in 1992. The first vote was held on May 19, 1992 with the participation of international observers from European countries and human rights organizations.
