President Gustavo Petro confirmed the departure of the Minister of the Interior, Luis Fernando Velasco, this Saturday afternoon.
It is worth recalling that during a diplomatic visit to Sweden, the head of state stated that he was going to carry out a second shake-up of his cabinet.
In fact, Petro published a farewell message to the outgoing Minister of the Interior on his social networks: “The next Minister of the Interior will make the necessary contacts so that the constituent power is achieved in this or the next government. Thank you Minister Velasco for your good job”.
Although he did not give details of whether the replacement is immediate, his message cleared up doubts about whether or not he was going to continue in the Executive to face the third year of Congress.
