Guillermo Zamarripa becomes president of Amafore

“It is vital that a healthy development of the sector be maintained and strengthened because today the Afores manage resources equivalent to 20% of GDP, and growth of up to 50% of GDP is expected in the next 25 years,” said the new president. of Amafore in a statement.

Guillermo Zamarripa will occupy the position left by Bernardo González, who was in charge of Amafore during the reform of the retirement savings system (SAT) that was approved in December 2020.

Among Zamarripa’s experience is having been for 13 years in the General Directorate of the Fundación de Estudios Financieros (Fundef); He was a professor at ITAM, from 2005 to 2010 he served as head of the Banking, Securities and Savings Unit at the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit (SHCP) and held various positions at the National Banking and Securities Commission (CNBV).

Guillermo Zamarripa has a degree in Economics and Public Accounting from the Autonomous Technological Institute of Mexico (ITAM), and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
