Grandmothers of Plaza de Mayo announced this December 22 that grandson 131 was found, appropriated during the Argentine dictatorship (1976-83), son of a couple of political militants kidnapped in 1977 and since then disappeared.

“Born at ESMA”
The humanitarian entity is still looking for “another 300 men and women, whose ages are around 45 years old, who live with their falsified identity and are among us,” added Carlotto, speaking at the Memory and Human Rights Space, where the center operated clandestine of the Navy School of Mechanics (ESMA).

Nadín and Quevedo were kidnapped between September and October 1977 in Buenos Aires. The woman was two to three months pregnant. Both remained in clandestine centers called Club Atlético and El Banco. Based on testimonies from survivors, Lucía was withdrawn to give birth.

“In these 45 years of struggle we have solved 131 cases. We continue working with the hope that we will find all our grandsons and granddaughters. They can be anywhere in the world,” said the leader.
“It is patient and loving work. Our missing grandsons and granddaughters are men and women with their loves, preferences, desires, established families. The Grandmothers want to add truth to their story. We await them with love,” said Carlotto.
