So thinks Asad Qizilbash, head of PlayStation Productions, who participated in the latest official PlayStation podcast. In addition to the boxing film, according to Qizilbash, the film about Grand Touring It was also inspired by the 1984 film The Last Starfighter.

Initially, many did not know how PlayStation was going to make a movie of Grand Touring. The funniest ones imagined that the story would revolve around cars.
