With the release of Valve’s Steam Deck, the appearance of other models based on the same conceptalthough some are even older than Valve’s console. Along with the prices of this new GPD Win Max 2, the company has announced its GPD G1 external GPUbased on a AMD Radeon RX 7600M XT. This new external GPU features the Oculink connector, which is also included in other models, excluding the ASUS ROG Ally which has its own connector for external graphics. Spec-wise, the GPD G1 features an AMD Radeon RX 7600M XT GPU using the Full Navi 33 GPU, that’s 32 CUs, and 8 GB of GDDR6 VRAM with a 128-bit bus. The GPG G1 has an active heatsink that will expel the heat from inside.
This external GPU has a consumption between 75 and 120Wand is powered by a 240W GaN power adapter to offer, in addition to graphics, some additional ports.
