Government presented the bases of the National Development Plan 2022-2026

The National Planning Department (DNP) delivered to the National Planning Council the first version of the bases of the National Development Plan of the Gustavo Petro administrationa 235-page document that contains the starting lines for the Government’s strategy for the four-year period.

This document includes not only the short, medium and long-term goals of the Government, but also the inputs that emerged from the ‘Binding Regional Dialogues’spaces in which the community participated and presented their contributions and concerns to the Government.

Until last November 9, se had held 31 binding regional dialogues in 573 municipalities with the participation of more than 81,000 attendees who have submitted 14,383 needs for change and 22,945 proposals for the PND.

The construction process of the Development Plan will continue with the discussion by representatives of the territorial entities and the different sectors that make up civil society (economic, social, ecological, and cultural), who will give a concept, as well as with the holding another 17 dialogues that will conclude the first week of December.

From Planning it is expected that the consolidated and final document will be filed as a bill to Congress on February 7, 2023.

This is the first National Development Plan that from the beginning has the participation of all people, who throughout Colombia have wanted to express their opinions about strategic projects that guarantee better living conditions.”, stressed the director of the DNP, Jorge Iván González.

In addition, the document estimates a concurrence of public investments for the next four years worth $1,048.2 trillion.
